DESCRIBE WHEN,WHERE AND HOW THE ICEMAN WAS DISCOVERED?

Otzi the iceman was discovered on September 19th 1991 by two German tourists hikers, Helmut and Erica Simon in the Otzal Alps near the Austrian/Italian border. As they were venturing through the alps the couple noticed a dead body protruding its upper torso through the snow. At first they believed that the body was of a recent deceased mountaineer hence they were quick to alert local authorities. The local authorities also believed the body to be that of a lost mountain climber , however it was not until the 23rd when the body was fully excavated and taken to the University of Innsbruck that the body was recognised to be primeval. The body is known as the  ”Otzi the iceman” believed to be around 5300 years old which was preserved in ice
